Winter is often freezing cold, and many people prefer summer.
But I honestly love this season because I have so many awesome memories from my childhood.
The cold air actually makes me feel excited.
Let me share the stories that make my winter special.
Christmas parties were always a massive highlight for me.
My friends and I usually had a party at home.
We ordered pizza, ate fried chicken, and bought a delicious strawberry cake.
We also enjoyed exchanging gifts.
It wasn't about expensive presents.
It was just super fun to hang out and chat for hours.
We laughed until we cried.
It was the best way to end the year with good vibes.
Going on family ski trips is another unforgettable memory.
My dad loved skiing, so he took us to the snowy mountains every winter.
He taught me how to ski.
At first, I was scared and fell down a lot, but playing in the white snow was really cool.
After a long day of skiing, the hot springs felt amazing.
Soaking in the hot water and drinking cold milk afterwards was a perfect treat.
Finally, simply chilling at home might be my favorite thing to do.
In Japan, we have a heated table called a kotatsu.
I loved sitting under it and eating sweet mandarins all day.
Watching funny TV shows with my family, especially during the New Year holidays, was so cozy.
I didn't have to worry about homework.
Being lazy on a cold weekend feels so good and relaxing.
