Thinking about my career
Thinking about my career
Ken: Hey Lisa, do you like your job?
Lisa: Yeah, I really do. I work as a freelancer, so I can choose my projects. How about you?
Ken: Well, I work at a company. It’s okay, but sometimes I feel a little bored.
Lisa: I see. Is it the same work every day?
Ken: Kind of. I do similar tasks every week. It’s not bad, but I want something more exciting.
Lisa: Have you thought about changing jobs?
Ken: Not yet, but I’m thinking about my future more these days.
Lisa: Same here. I want to start my own business someday.
Ken: That sounds cool! I want to become a team leader or maybe a manager.
Lisa: Are you doing anything to reach that goal?
Ken: Yes, I started taking business classes on weekends. What about you?
Lisa: I’m learning about marketing. It’s really useful for freelancers.
Ken: Sounds smart. By the way, do you have enough time to relax?
Lisa: Most days, yes. I try to stop working by 6 p.m.
Ken: Lucky you! I usually work until 9 or 10.
Lisa: Wow, that’s a lot. Don’t you get tired?
Ken: I do. I need to change my schedule, I think.
Lisa: Yeah, taking breaks is important too.
Ken: You’re right. Maybe I’ll try leaving work earlier next week.
Lisa: Good idea! Work is important, but health and happiness are too.
Ken: Thanks, Lisa. Talking with you always helps me think more clearly.
